About BFHD
Battlefield: High Definition is a modification for
Battlefield 1942. The goal of the mod is to bring as many visual enhancements to the game as possible.
Battlefield: High Definition was developed by
Lieutenant Clone (Dennis Robinson).
The mod brings the following enhancements to
Battlefield 1942:
- Drastically increased view distances
- Increased the rendering quality of the terrain
- Increased the rendering distance of most vehicles
- Most vehicles will stay on the map permanently when destroyed
- Dead bodies remain for five minutes (you will rarely see them disappearing)
- Added blood effects
- Added third person view
- Many more minor tweaks and enhancements
System Requirements

A computer that can run
Battlefield 1942 on full quality, will not necessarily be able to handle Battlefield: High Definition. Our reccomendations are below:

1.5 GHz CPU
128 Megabytes of RAM
3D accelerated 128 MB video card or equivalent with HW-T&L (Hardware Transform & Lighting) and 24-bit z-buffer
60 MB free hard disk space plus space for saved games
16X Speed CD-ROM/DVD-ROM
Directx 8.1 Compatible Sound Card
Recommended:
2.4 GHz CPU
256 Megabytes of RAM
